Hello.
At an early age, I was raised in an entrepreneurial family. At the age of 9, I was working every weekend and listening to business talk over the family dinner table. At 16, I was juggling 3 jobs while managing high school.
I earned my BA in Accounting from Concordia University and worked in financial accounting roles for small/medium venture capitalist companies. From medical R&D to IT Tech to e-commerce personalization businesses, I have always had a passion for day-to-day accounting processes helping business owners with their financials. Through my experience in sales and use tax, payroll, benefits, depreciation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, projections, financials reporting, month end and year end closing, and audit preparation. I have handled about every aspect of an accounting department.
During my career I have started 3 companies and gone through the processes of selling two businesses. Through conversations of frustrations of business owners feeling lost and helpless on their business financials, I saw the disconnect between business owners and CPA firms. After all, an accountant is a must for tax returns and business financials.
After 30 years of specializing in business financial accounting and being a business owner, I saw the need to bridge the gap between business owner’s struggling with their CPA. Hearing many friends and business colleagues share common stories of their CPA struggles, I revisit that passion to help.
I grew up hearing my parents talk about how frustrating it was to work with most CPA firms. They often felt more confused after meetings—like the accountants were speaking a different language. For 43 years, only one CPA really stood out: someone who took the time to explain things in a way they could actually understand.
That experience stuck with me. It’s why I do what I do today.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed or just want someone who can make sense of your numbers, reach out. I’d love to help.
